Social Compass have done to display a dome of planetarium in Asia Design Art exhibition at CJCC. Cambodia DigiCon6

Screening and award ceremony of DigiCon6 Cambodia co-hosted by TBS and TVK was held on 19th. Hidetaka Nakamura and Jessry An participated as mentors and interpreters respectively.And Annex digital, Khaki and LastMile participated as a sponsor company. Our director Noriko Kaizuka is stay in Tokyo with a departure to TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting Holdings) CSR department now and supporting DigiCon6 Asia from Japan. SocialCompass supports DigiCon 6 Asia from Southeast Asia and Japan.  


Dome architecture workshop @ ITC

SocialCompass receives a grant from the Toyota Foundation and is proceeding with a project mapping project in Myanmar, Cambodia. Following that, on September 7th (Friday) – 8th (Saturday) at the Cambodia Institute of Technology (ITC), we conducted a dome production workshop under the guidance of a polar architect Mr. YUSUKE MURAKAMI. Twenty-five students from the Department of Architecture participated in the workshop. Three countries animation workshops

SocialCompass did animation workshops caravan at August. We visited around to Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos. Compared with Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, etc., these three countries are still in a backward country. There is no animation school. Although it is not yet a country with abundant opportunities for digital education, however, it is not dyed in Japanese content, and motivation of participants is high. Everyone’s fun to challenge new things. Each workshop held this time separately. SDGs characters

SocialCompass made 17 SDGs characters. SDGs stands for “Sustainable Development Goals” that the United Nations can advance. It is the goal set by the 193 member countries to achieve in 15 years from 2016 to 2030. Until now, SocialCompass has been making Watty’s animation to solve various social problems in Cambodia. It is overlapped with the concept of SDGs. In that case, I tried to characterize all of SDGs 17 goals, including the meaning to jump out of Cambodia. Watty and public bus of PhnomPenh

SocialCompass created two animations that guide the way of riding a public bus such as Cambodia and Phnom Penh with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The first one is “Let’s ride on a City Bus in Phnom Penh! / Wattie and get on the bus!” Watty is an animation to explain the introduction and how to get on the bus. We held the animation workshop at day care center for seniors!

We have been doing animation workshops, which were mainly held for children and students in Southeast Asia. However we tried it for the users of day care center for seniors in Japan first in this time. At the beginning, those who said that “I can not paint a picture” were finally painted a lot.
